Facilitation and Training

Turning working
groups into living
systems

I guide high-stakes group processes where traditional approaches fall short. Over two and a half decades, I’ve facilitated thousands of events across government, corporate, academic and community sectors, helping groups achieve breakthrough strategic clarity, restored team cohesion, and sustainable conflict resolution by accessing their collective intelligence.

My approach combines experience design with arts-based methods that reveal insights linear thinking cannot access. As a practicing visual artist, poet, and community researcher, I bring pattern recognition skills that help me track what’s emerging in group dynamics often before it becomes visible to others.

I design experiences that honor different ways of knowing while maintaining a clear focus on your objectives. I track a group’s patterns and can shift dynamics using creative interventions that tend to bypass traditional resistance patterns. My methods help a group’s creative intelligence to emerge.

Creating
conditions for
emergent
group wisdom

I guide gatherings where people say “I felt more connected to these people than I usually do” and where they tend to stay connected later. Whether you need conflict resolution, strategic planning, or community building, I create environments where every voice contributes to collective wisdom. My approach balances clear structure with lots of flexibility, helping your group navigate complexity while building genuine connection. From intimate team retreats to large conferences, I bring warmth, insight, and practical expertise to each unique context.

Develop your team’s capacity to work with complexity, creativity, and care. My trainings are deeply experiential, offering practical tools that are easily adapted to many scenarios while building your group’s cohesion. I specialize in facilitator development, creative leadership, creativity and innovation, rebuilding after conflict, and helping teams work effectively across difference. Each training is tailored to your specific context and can range from intensive workshops to ongoing developmental programs that evolve with your organization’s needs.

Deepen your own facilitation practice through personalized mentorship or coaching. Together we’ll explore your unique gifts and challenges, developing approaches that align with your authentic style. I offer support for articulating your personal facilitation method, designing complex events, navigating group dynamics, and integrating creative methodologies into your work. Whether you’re facing a specific challenge, seeking ongoing development, or need a partner to debrief a difficult experience, our sessions create space for reflection, growth, and practical problem-solving.

I have extensive experience supporting organizations through the messy, essential work of becoming who they’re meant to be. This means looking honestly at how power moves through your systems, where communication breaks down, and what patterns keep you stuck. Together we’ll experiment with new approaches (often based on creativity) to governance, decision-making, and collaboration. We will be testing what works for your unique context rather than imposing generic solutions. I’m here for organizations ready to do the deeper work of aligning how you operate with what you value and how you walk in the world.

I transform how organizations think about group dynamics, drawing from 25 years facilitating high-stakes conversations across government, corporate, and community sectors worldwide. As a practicing artist and community researcher, I share stories from the field, lived experiences, and insights about emerging patterns that help teams and leaders see breakthrough possibilities where others see only conflict and complexity. Known for my engaging, playful approach to complex topics, my keynotes are energizing and memorable.

The Adaptagen Podcast is my not-so-secret treasure. I’m extremely proud of it. Rough and rugged, mostly recorded on Zoom and only lightly edited, it captures something never captured before: the life stories of community facilitators and social artists from around the world. It is my joy and honour to introduce you to something I’ve had a unique privilege to experience: the incredible creative and political power of these often invisible, humble, and inspired change makers. You’ll hear their life stories, tips and tricks, failures and obstacles, and their current obsessions. These are people who respond to a calling for belonging, something the planet desperately needs. I know you will delight in these podcasts as much as I have delighted in creating them.
